PARADISE PICTURE BROOCH - THE SUN SHINES ON PARADISE, 2000
Each piece of Andrew Logan jewellery is a one-off design, hand-made by Andrew Logan and bearing his signature. This brooch pin was created in 2000 and has been named 'The Sun Shines On Paradise'.
The brooch is created using a piece of silver mirror which features a picture of a tropical paradise by the sea, mainly in red, green and blue colours. Mounted on top of this mirror is a large golden sun, with rays composed of eight fragments of gold glass and two orange pieces, laid over dark resin and embellished with golden glitter. The centre of the sun is a hologram disc showing a beautiful eye which will wink depending on how the brooch catches the light.
This vintage piece of wearable sculpture measures approximately 9.5 cm square and weighs 75 g. It can be secured to any item using the safety pin on the reverse, or could be pinned onto a ribbon to wear as a statement necklace or hung as a wall piece.
