Andrew Logan is a British sculptural artist who often crosses cultures and embodies artistic fantasy in a unique and unprecedented way. He is an influential artist of international stature, yet someone who delights in creating art wherever he finds inspiration.  This 'Cheeky Chappy' is one of Andrew Logan's smaller sculptures and offers a wonderful opportunity to purchase a unique piece of art for yourself.

Andrew Logan has created this resplendent Robin sculpture using his signature technique of mosaic mirror and glass inlaid into resin. The Robin's breast and face is created with 13 rows of rectangular shaped pieces of red mirror glass laid over red resin and encrusted with mainly red glitter.  The rest of his body on the underside uses fifteen rows of pale grey glass, embedded into grey resin with silver and white glitter flecks.  The topside of this friendly bird, including his wings and tail, feature slightly larger pieces of two shades of brown, patterned glass laid over brown resin and embossed with a mixture of mainly brown and some multi-colour glitter sparkles.  His eyes are created with tiny black beads and the beak constructed with a small cone shape of pale brown material.

The base on which this 'Cheeky Chappy' sits represents a tree branch which has been painted with bronze and copper paint.  The robin's legs and feet are created with resin encrusted with dark brown glitter. The branch is mounted on a heart shaped piece of smooth, clear glass with a silver, crinkled backing laid over white resin.  The edges of the resin and embellished with white glitter and the underside has been signed, named and dated by Andrew Logan in 2020.  This accessible example of Andrew Logan sculpture would make a vibrant edition to your home.

The total height of the sculpture is approximately 14 cm and the robin's breast has a width of around 6 cm.  The heart shaped base on which it stands measures 8.5 by 11 cm at its widest point and the sculpture weighs 271g.  The height of the robin alone (without including its legs) is around 8 cm and its width from breast to tail is approximately 11 cm.
