Andrew Logan brooches are crafted by hand and unique, as this visionary artist is always exploring creative designs and often uses recycled materials. His unisex brooch pins can be a statement piece and each brooch bears Andrew Logan’s signature.  This striking brooch was made in 2000 and Andrew hopes his one-off piece of wearable sculpture brings you joy.

The brooch pin is named Diamond V and features a convex disc of silver mirror in its centre which has an eight point star motif in the middle and a glittering finish.  This has been overlaid with a piece of clear, convex glass that has purposefully been cracked as Andrew believes this brings luck to the piece; he says much as a face develops wrinkle lines as life is lived, he likes his art to show wear and imperfections which change over time.

The mirror and glass are laid over a creamy white resin and the points of the star contain a myriad of jewels including thirty oval and round facetted clear crystals and a mosaic of silver mirror fragments.  The shimmering silver star has then been dusted with silver glitter because you can never have too much sparkle.

The star brooch measures approximately 12 by 15 cm at its widest points and weighs 109 g.  It has a safety pin embedded in the resin at the rear to affix to your favourite garment, or it could be attached to a chain to create a dazzling pendant necklace.
