A QUESTION OF GREEN BROOCH OR PENDANT

Andrew Logan jewellery is handcrafted and unique, as this visionary artist is always exploring new creative designs and often uses recycled materials. His unisex brooches can be a statement piece and each bears Andrew Logan’s signature. Andrew Logan created this splendid work of art in 2008 and hopes his one-off piece of wearable sculpture brings you joy.

The brooch, or pendant, is named 'A Question of Green' and features dark green and smoke grey mirror glass laid over resin which has been drawn into the shape of a question mark. The punctuation point at the bottom is a convex, circular, glass disc with an image of a thinking statue sitting on a plinth.  This is set into black resin and suspended from the question mark by three strands of silver coloured chain.

In addition to the mirror glass, the main body of the piece contains an assortment of embedded jewels including; ten green crystals of varying shapes, two polished green glass beads, three pieces of jade coloured stone, a green cube, a turquoise square and a clear spherical crystal.  All the edges have been decorated with variegated green glitter and the complete piece is a vision of green.

The brooch or pendant has a safety pin and metal hook embedded in the reverse side so that the wearer has the flexibility to wear this statement piece as a brooch or neckless, or alternatively it could be used as a wall hanging.  It measures approximately 16 by 10 cm and the disc at the bottom has a 5 cm diameter.  The total length of the piece when suspended from the hook is around 24cm and the weight is 127 g.
