AUTUMN HARVEST BROOCH, 2008

This dramatic piece, created by Andrew Logan in 2008, is centred around an abstract blue and bronze image painted on a piece of rectangular cut glass. Around the perimeter of this image are arranged eighteen Swarovski crystals and four fossilised shell pieces, all set in black resin which is disguised by glitter and metallic gold paint. The contrast between the rather austere image at the centre of the piece and the vibrant embellishments at its perimeter helps make this wearable artwork a truly arresting one that will add a touch of eccentricity to any outfit.
