FOX & FISH TURQUOISE HEART BROOCH, 2023

An unusual delight!

Andrew Logan's iconic heart brooches are one of his most loved pieces. Andrew hopes this unique heart brings joy wherever it goes.

This unusual heart was one of the first pieces Andrew created in 2023. It incorporates many unusual found items, creating a memorable, one-of-a-kind piece.

This heart has been created around two unusual glass beads. One, oval in shape, depicts a large fish jumping out of a river, creating a splash of dynamic water. The other bead, round, depicts the face of a fox, which looks over towards the jumping fish. At the centre of the brooch is a triangle of textural, patterned metallic glass in a vivid, cyan blue. The two sides of the heart are lined with turquoise faceted crystals turquoise glass and three unique, marbled turquoise stones, adding texture and intrigue! All of the pieces are set into pale baby blue resin and dusted generously with light turquoise glitter. This is a really eye-catching and memorable heart!

This original piece of wearable art measures approx 5.5 by 5 cm at its widest points and weighs 13 g. It can be attached to a chosen garment using a safety pin embedded in the resin on the reverse and can be worn on a variety of fabrics due to it's light weight. 

This brooch has been created with love by artist Andrew Logan in his studio in Mid-Wales. It will be packaged in a gift box and sent to you via Special Delivery.
