FROG CROSS, GREEN BROOCH, 2023

This glittering green cross is one of the first pieces Andrew Logan created this year, in  April 2023.

Frog Cross is a beautiful piece with many dazzling details. Eyes are immediately drawn to the emerald green faceted crystal at the centre of the piece, which is framed with a circle of smaller crystals, shining pink through to blue, and a selection of gorgeous green faceted beads. The four corners of the cross are created using pieces of apple green mirrored glass. At the top of the cross the frog from which the piece takes it's name can be found: a semi circle of glass and two jade green glass beads are arranged to form a frog's face.

Andrew has created further shimmer by edging two corners of the cross with a selection of multicoloured, faceted beads that shine light in all directions. 

All of these elements are set into a vibrant green resin and sprinkled with green and multi-coloured sparkling glitter. This is a truly unusual and memorable piece, both surreal and ceremonial!

Frog Cross measures approximately 9.5 x 13 cm at its widest points, and weighs 40 g.  Andrew Logan has signed, named and dated the piece on the reverse side and there is a safety pin embedded in the resin, should you wish to wear the cross as a brooch. It could also be displayed as a wall hanging or worn as a necklace by attaching a chain to the pin.

This original piece of wearable art has been created with love by artist Andrew Logan in his studio in Mid-Wales. Each brooch is signed and dated on the back by Andrew. This brooch will be packaged in a gift box and sent to you via Special Delivery.
