"CHANGE" - BLACK HEART WITH CRYSTALS, 2024

This new brooch is part of a special collection of Wearable Art created by Andrew Logan in Spring 2024, and styled by designer Roberta in her fabulous new collection, Desire For Duende.

CHANGE is not for the faint-hearted! A absolutely gorgeous, show-stopper of a piece, this elegant and awe-inspiring heart is sure to make a statement at catch everyone's attention.

The main body of the heart has been created using a beautiful, rippled piece of handmade marbled glass, with a curved black centre and textured line details. This undulating piece of glass creates a dynamism which gives the piece it's name. The top of the heart is covered with fantastic gems and beads from Andrew's collection. On the left side, a selection of black crystals in various shapes and sizes, on the right, a selection of shimmering silver crystals. These have been set into black resin, which has been covered on the left side by sparkling black and multicolour glitter, and on the right by silver glitter. This is a truly unusual and standout piece of Andrew's wearable art.

This piece measures just over 15 by 12 cm at its widest points and weighs 107g. It can be attached to your chosen garment using a gold coloured safety pin embedded into the back of the brooch. This piece may not be suitable to pin directly through delicate fabrics, such as silk; due to it's weight, alternatively it could be attached to a chain and worn as a necklace.

This piece has been handmade with joy by Andrew Logan in his studio in mid-Wales. Each piece of Wearable Art is signed and dated by Andrew on the reverse.
