Tamarisc Tree, Folegandros, Greece, 2022. Original Watercolour by Andrew Logan
This watercolour painting is part of a small series of beautiful new watercolours made by Andrew Logan on recent travels to Greece and Italy in June 2022.
Folegandros is a Greek island of incredible natural beauty located between Paros and Santorini. Andrew visited Folegandros in June 2022, whilst at home the UK celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Andrew travelled to this small, rocky island by ferry from Santorini. He was immediately impressed by how clean the island was, Folegandros is very proud to have no litter, giving it a wonderful, unspoiled charm.
This watercolour was made by Andrew on a trip to the local beach over Jubilee weekend. It depicts a tamarisk tree, which was growing on the beach, sending out long, crawling roots. A tourist had left a purple rucksack hanging on the tree.
This original watercolour painting has been created in watercolour on quality art paper with approximate dimensions of 23 x 31 cm. It has been titled, signed and dated (2022, June Jubilee) by Andrew Logan and is a certified original which should not be copied without Andrew Logan’s written permission.
