WORLD CUP BROOCH, 2006

Andrew Logan jewellery includes brooch pins for ladies and some examples of the rising trend for men’s brooches. Andrew Logan brooches are handcrafted and unique, as this visionary artist is always exploring new creative designs and often uses recycled materials. His unisex brooch pins can be a statement piece, to compliment many outfits and each brooch bears Andrew Logan’s signature.  This brooch was created in 2006 and has been named World Cup; Andrew Logan hopes his one-off, designer piece of wearable sculpture brings you joy.

The brooch features a recycled, red circular motif depicting St George and the Dragon in the centre laid over a St George flag.  The red cross is created with four faceted, square, red crystals that divide the surface in four sections. One section is decorated with fragments of silver mirror and the other three are single pieces of etched mirror. All the elements are set over red resin and finished with silver and red glitter.

This patriotic brooch has a safety pin embedded in the reverse side and dimensions are approximately 9 x 8 cm.  It is a fairly heavy brooch, weighing 97g, hence would not be suitable for affixing to delicate fabrics.
