This sculpture is part of a series of works created  to the theme of 'small is beautiful'  and is a surreal still-life featuring a bottle and apple.  These items are given super-size proportions by the two tiny, visiting tourists on the base of this work of art.  Andrew Logan created the sculpture in 2001, it was originally exhibited at Scream, Bruton Street in the Mayfair district of London and now this archival sculpture is for sale.

The sculpture uses Andrew's signature technique of mosaic mirror inlaid into resin to create a sparkling and reflective object d'art.  The glass milk bottle is completely adorned with fragments of mirror glass, gradating tones of silver, smoke grey and slate grey which in turn have been embedded in three different colour resins in progressively darker grey hues.  White, silver and black glitter is encrusted along the edges and top of the bottle.  There is a long, clear glass rod that sits freely inside the bottle.

A bright red apple sits next to the bottle which Andrew has created using red mirror fragments, laid into red resin finished with red glitter.  The stalk contrasts the piece with the same elements but all in a vivid green colour.  Both bottle and fruit sit on an oval piece of vintage mirror into which Andrew Logan has engraved his signature, the date and the title of the piece.  The sides of the oval base are also decorated with rectangular mirror pieces, embedded in a dark resin and embellished with silver glitter.  The base is sustainable , being constructed around a plaster plinth and the final flourish to the piece is the addition of two small figures.  The seated figure appears to be a woman, with red hair and a green outfit and the standing tourist has brown hair and a blue suit.  These tiny tourists are set into resin in front of the apple and have been hand-painted by Andrew Logan.
