This new brooch is part of a small collection of beautiful flowers created by Andrew Logan in Spring 2024.

These wearable art pieces embody Andrew Logan's love of beauty and nature. He says of flowers in his book Reflections; "They heighten one's senses - the scent as well as the look of them. I think they are absolutely essential. Even in arid wastes or the middle of the desert you still get flowers blooming. The natural world is amazing."

This beautiful piece can be seen in the new Franz Ferdinand video Audacious.

BUD is beautiful brooch that will bring joy and wonder to any outfit. Striking enough to make a statement and with enough details to demand closer inspection, it features a stunning selection of glass and jewels from Andrew Logan's collection.

The brooch takes the form of a flower. At the centre of the flower lies a glimmering green crystal which shines light in all directions. This is surrounded by six pieces of cut forest-green glass, which form the flower's petals. In between the folds of the petals, Andrew has placed small strings of lime green beads, and the tips of the petals shimmer with crystals, shining circling wheels of pink, yellow and blue. All of these elements have been set into green resin, which has been covered on all sides by sparkling green and multicolour glitter. This is a truly unusual and standout piece of Andrew's wearable art.

This piece measures approximately 7by 8cm at its widest points and is lightweight, weighing 32g.  It can be attached to your chosen garment using a gold coloured safety pin embedded into the back of the brooch.

His mother, Irene Logan famously said to Andrew; "If you only have two pennies left, spend one on a loaf and one on a rose. The loaf will give you life, the rose a reason for living."

BUD has been handmade with joy by Andrew Logan in his studio in mid-Wales. Each piece of Wearable Art is signed and dated by Andrew on the reverse.
