CELESTIAL COSMIC EGG, 2025

CELESTIAL COSMIC EGG takes inspiration from Andrew's iconic 1983 sculpture The Cosmic Egg, which can be seen in The Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Berriew, Wales.

Created in 2025, this divine Cosmic Egg brooch will be the perfect centrepiece to every ensemble!

A large natural-looking turquoise bead takes centre stage in this piece. This is surrounded by smaller turquoise stone pieces and beads. Andrew has placed cut squares of gorgeous handmade glass, variegated from turquoise to white - evoking a still, calm sea - above and below the turquoise. The stone has been framed with broken shards of cyan coloured mirror glass, and set with a border of tiny white and turquoise beads. At the top of the brooch, three large turquoise crystals shimmer and reflect light in all directions.

All of these elements are set into turquoise resin, which has been sprinkled with turquoise glitter. The back of the brooch bears the title of the piece, signed and dated by Andrew.

The piece has the feel of a talisman or charm, and is part of a new Wearable Art collection of Goddess pieces, referencing Andrew's 1984 Goddesses exhibition, and celebrating Alternative Miss World 2026 - GAIA.

This unique brooch measures approximately 9.5 by 6.5 cm at its widest points and weighs 42g.  It can be attached to your chosen garment using a gold coloured safety pin embedded in the resin on the reverse.

This Wearable Cosmic Egg has been joyfully created with love by artist Andrew Logan in his studio in Mid-Wales. This brooch will be packaged in a gift box and sent to you via Special Delivery.
