CORAL BROOCH - MONTY, 1993
Andrew Logan brooches are handcrafted and unique, as this visionary artist is always exploring new creative designs and often uses recycled materials. His unisex brooch pins can be a statement piece and each brooch bears Andrew Logan’s signature. This brooch, named Monty was created by Andrew in 1993 and has been on display at the Museum of Sculpture. He has now released it for sale and hopes his one-off, designer piece of wearable sculpture brings someone joy.
The vintage brooch features a cream coloured, spiral piece of coral laid over black resin which is decorated with fragments of silver mirror, embellished with black glitter and a smooth brown sphere.
This unusual brooch pin measures approximately 7 by 3 cm and has a depth of around 3 cm. There is a safety pin embedded on the reverse and it weighs 29 g, thus lightweight enough for most fabrics.
