GODHEAD, 2024

GODHEAD is an Indian inspired brooch created by Sculptor Andrew Logan in 2024 and available to purchase online now.

GODHEAD is a simple but elegant design which will add some intrigue and interest to every outfit.  At the centre of the brooch is a detailed piece of beaded Indian embroidery, collected by Andrew on his travels. Silver sequins are intricately laced with tiny orange and metal beads into heart-like shape. At the bottom of the brooch, Andrew has placed two flower-shaped Indian eye charms, and then a series of crystal gems, beads and pieces of silver mirror tocreate a ring around the brooches' edge.

All of these elements are set into black resin, which has been sprinkled with silver glitter. The back of the brooch bears the title of the piece, signed and dated by Andrew.

The piece has the feel of a talisman or charm, and is part of a new Wearable Art collection of Goddess pieces, referencing Andrew's 1984 Goddesses exhibition, and celebrating Alternative Miss World 2026 - GAIA.

This unique brooch measures approximately 8.5 by 8.5 cm at its widest points and weighs 42 g.  It can be attached to your chosen garment using a gold coloured safety pin embedded in the resin on the reverse.

This piece of wearable art has been created with love by artist Andrew Logan in his studio in Mid-Wales. This brooch will be packaged in a gift box and sent to you via Special Delivery.
