HARLEQUIN FLOWER BROOCH - POSY, 2009
Andrew Logan brooches are handcrafted and unique, as this visionary artist is always exploring new creative designs and often uses recycled materials. His unisex brooch pins can be a statement piece and each brooch bears Andrew Logan’s signature and the date it was created, for this brooch it was 2009. Andrew Logan hopes this one-off, designer piece of wearable sculpture brings you joy.
The brooch features many fragments of mirror glass in red, blue, green and gold, interspersed with five small triangles of white ceramic material. In the centre of the brooch is a flower ornament made from small flower beads and tiny round beads, again in red, blue, green, yellow and white colours. The design elements are laid over dark resin and the edges are decorated with black glitter.
This pretty brooch measures approximately 8 by 5.5 cm and weighs around 26 g. It has a safety pin embedded in the resin at rear of brooch and Andrew Logan has named this piece of wearable art, Posy.
