"HORIZON" - RED / BLACK BROOCH, 2024

This new brooch is part of a special collection of Wearable Art created by Andrew Logan in Spring 2024, and styled by designer Roberta in her fabulous new collection, Desire For Duende.

HORIZON is a striking and original brooch that will bring elegance and intrigue to every outfit. It's centrepiece is a circle of curved mirrored glass - half black, half silver, which gives the piece it's name. This piece of found glass has a few scratches and imperfections on it; Andrew Logan loves to transform discarded objects into beautiful treasures.

Andrew has framed this circle of glass "flower-style" with various pieces of red glass, some of them complete with trademark cracks. Andrew loves to incorporate broken pieces of glass and cracks into his Wearable Art sculptures, believing that they bring the wearer good luck. Extra sparkle has been added with the addition of 5 red crystals of various sizes, which reflect light in all directions.

All of these elements have been set into red resin, which has been covered on all sides by sparkling red and multi-coloured glitter. This is a truly unusual and standout piece of Andrew's wearable art.

This piece measures approximately 10 by 10.5 cm at its widest points and weighs 51g. It can be attached to your chosen garment using a gold coloured safety pin embedded into the back of the brooch.

SPECTRE has been handmade with joy by Andrew Logan in his studio in mid-Wales. Each piece of Wearable Art is signed and dated by Andrew on the reverse.
