JET STREAM, GOLDEN COSMIC EGG, 2022

Andrew Logan is a British sculptor known for creating large scale mirrored works. One of the most famous of these pieces is his iconic Cosmic Egg, created in 1983.

This Golden Cosmic Egg was created at the end of 2022, shortly after Alternative Miss World's 50th Golden Anniversary.

This is a truly beautiful piece, embedded with much dazzling detail.

At the heart of this golden Cosmic Egg is a line of emerald green faceted crystals. These are surrounded by many small, round red glass beads which sit on tiny brass flower shaped bases, and many tiny copper beads. At the top of the egg, is a diamond shaped blue faceted crystal. 

All of the carefully selected pieces of this gorgeous brooch have been set into black resin sprinkled with gold and multicoloured glitter. 

The brooch measures approximately 7 by 12 cm at its widest parts and can be attached to garments using the gold coloured safety pin embedded in the resin on the reverse side. Due to it's weight (70g) this brooch would not be suitable to wear with light fabrics such as silks. Each of Andrew Logan's unique wearable art pieces are signed and dated on the back by Andrew.
