Martin Sharp (1942 - 2013) was an Australian artist, cartoonist and joint founder of the underground magazine Oz, best known for his psychedelic paintings which became iconic album album sleeves in the 1960s, notably for Cream's Disraeli Gears and Wheels of Fire.
This eye-catching brooch features a vintage Martin Sharp smiling brooch at its centre. This has been framed with a selection of cerise, purple, lilac, coral and green plastic pearls, sequins, shells and beads from Andrew's collection. All of these elements have all been laid over black resin and enhanced with variegated blue and purple glitter.
This unique piece of Wearable Art is signed and dated on the back and has a safety pin to affix to your favourite item of clothing. It has approximate dimensions of 12.5 by 12 cm and it weighs 67g.
