Each piece of Andrew Logan jewellery is a one-off design, hand-made by Andrew Logan and bearing his signature.  This brooch was created in 1994 and has been named 'St Isaac's St Petersberg'.  It was created after one of Andrew Logan's trips to Russia and is part of a vintage selection, only recently released for sale online.

The brooch features a photograph of St Isaac's Cathedral, which is one of the largest and most ornate cathedrals in the world.  The image depicts the sunlight glinting off the building and is laid under glass which is framed with two ornate, silver coloured metal pillars, four fragments of gold mirror glass and many blue jewels including; ten blue and turquoise glass squares, four pale blue, glass half spheres and 10 small blue crystals in oval and round shapes.  The resin in which these design elements are embedded is sprinkled with predominantly gold glitter.

This vintage piece of wearable sculpture measures approximately 7.5 by 10 cm and weighs 75 g.  It can be secured to any item using the safety pin on the reverse, or could be threaded onto a ribbon (using the hook at rear) to wear as a statement necklace or hung as a wall piece.
